Capper Christmas (1959)
The Capper Foundation for Crippled Children will be the scene of a lively pre-Christmas party from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday.
This will be the fourth year the Prophets of Media Grotto, a Masonic organization, have staged a festive seasonal event for the Children.
Curt First, chairman of the party committee, said the grotto will provide a large tree which the children will help decorate. A Christmas story will be narrated by the Max Maguire of Clinton with piano background music played by Mrs. Maguire.
The Story will be followed by Christmas carols sung by Boy Scouts from Troop 28 and led by Bud Weiler.
A highlight of the evening will be the arrival of Santa Claus, who will be portrayed by Ed McNerney. Santa’s sack will carry a special gift for each child at the center.
The party will conclude with the presentation of filled Christmas stockings made by the ladies auxiliary of Media Grotto and the serving of refreshments.
