As Kansas’ premier service provider for infants, children, teens, and adults with disabilities, an array of life-enhancing programs and services are available. Pediatric Therapies, Adult Day, and Residential Services, and training and development for families and professionals help individuals with disabilities thrive and enhance their development toward independence.
No. We serve a wide range of disabilities, both visible and invisible. Across the state of Kansas, we remove physical, cultural, attitudinal and legal obstacles so people with disabilities have every opportunity to live meaningful and productive lives, on their own terms. We exist to provide the best services and opportunities for people with disabilities of all ages.
More than 2,000 people benefit from Capper Foundation’s pediatric, adult and training services.
To make our services accessible to as many people as possible, Capper Foundation relies on public contributions. Public contributions help cover the difference between actual program costs and what individuals and families can afford to pay. We also solicit grants, host fundraising events, depend on planned (legacy) gifts and investment income from restricted investments.
Capper Foundation is a Section 501(c)(3) organization that also receives funding from a variety of other sources, including private insurers, government agencies and fee-for-service.
Capper Foundation exceeds all of the Standards for Charity Accountability set by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
As a state-wide non-profit organization, we provide direct services and programs to all ages – infants, children, youth and adults – with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is our mission to build abilities and empower individuals to be as independent as possible.
Capper Foundation is proud to put your donations to work effectively by investing 92% of funding in our programs and services. Only 8% of the budget is used for fundraising, administrative and management purposes.
320 compassionate staff in Topeka, Winfield, El Dorado and Arkansas City provide person-centered care for the individuals we serve.
