Lincoln Grade School (1948)
Eat less candy, give more to help handicapped boys and girls! That’s the motto of 30 kindergarten youngsters from Lincoln Grade School. Here Rosemery Negrate is shown handing a $10 check to J.M. Parks, secretary of the Capper Foundation while the other students look on. Miss Marguerite Parkinson, their teacher says this amount was accumulated over a period of a year by setting aside part of the “candy money” the children brought to school. Friday afternoon the whole group visited the office of the Capper Foundation in a body to deliver the gift.
